Grow your pipeline and book new work.

Each week, you’ll attend group workshops, hear guest speakers, and meet with your small group pod of 5 fellow builders to get personalized feedback. Along the way, you’ll get introduced to Mentors, and work toward a Demo Day in front of hiring managers. We’ll keep you accountable with weekly deliverables and light homework.

Unlike typical online courses, this is a live, 6-week program that’s driven by direct 1:1 introductions — not just content. We’re deeply inspired by YC, Techstars, and other startup accelerators, and aim to bring the same network-driven approach to your independent business.

PROGRAM OUTLINE

6 focused weeks to build

Each week is centered on a theme: the theme reflects what you’ll learn from us and guest speakers, and what we'll challenge you to launch for your business every Friday.

Beyond the structured learnings, every week brings a Small Group breakout session with 5 of your peers, Office Hours with Program Leaders, and Weeks 2 - 4 are full of Mentor 1:1s to enable you further.

Who is this for?

This is for you if…

✔️ You're a proven tech or tech startup leader with credible titles, company names, or accomplishments to show for it.

✔️ You’ve already quit your full-time job, or are ready to go now.

✔️ You want to be an entrepreneur and build a business — you know it will take a strong pipeline. You want mentorship, connection, and accountability to get it done.

✔️ Perhaps you’re imagining a future with a portfolio of income streams, not just skill-based fractional or consulting work.

✔️ We’ll make reasonable exceptions to this, but you’re likely in North American time zones. For now, this is best for people who are ready to work easily with companies in the US and Canada.

✔️ You’re building (or considering building) a B2B service, or a high value B2C service. You’ve thought about building an agency, product enabled service, or simple product. You’re excited about building with AI.

This isn’t for you if…

— Your full-time job history isn’t in the tech or tech startup world. We built this for people with experience in tech.

— You want to take on independent work on the side of your full-time job. We’re best for people who envision working for themselves full time.

— You’d be happy with 1 or 2 retainer clients, essentially doing your current full-time job, just for fewer hours a week. We’re meant for people who want to build a business from their work.

— You’re ready to do some pipeline building work, but ultimately want someone to hand you jobs. We’re meant for people with an entrepreneurial mindset.

— You’re not in North American time zones. For now, this is best for people who are ready to work easily with companies in the US and Canada. We’ll make reasonable exceptions to this for folks in the UK or EU.

— You’re solely building a product for consumers, like a paid course or coaching program. We’re best suited for people who want to sell to other businesses.

Pricing

20 hour a week fractional roles with tech companies for mid-career candidates pay $7,500+ per month. Often, we see $10,000–$15,000 per month engagements.

While we have no guarantee you’ll book work through us, we’ve priced this so you would see an immediate, one month, > 3x ROI on the price, even if you book just one role like this.

FAQs

  • This accelerator runs from Monday, July 7 - Friday, August 15, 2025. It’s a series of live online workshops, 1:1 meetings, small group meetings, and special events, like guest speakers and live AMAs.

  • You can expect 4 - 5 hours a week of live sessions, between workshops, small groups, 1:1s, and other events.

Beyond the live sessions, we’d suggest setting aside another 4 - 6 hours a week to do the work: clarifying your offerings based on the workshop lessons, building your pipeline, meeting with other cohort members, and other activities to get your business moving.

This would be incredibly difficult to participate in alongside a full-time job, so this program is best for people who have already committed their full-time to building independent businesses.

  • We’re still finalizing this, but here’s the general map:

    • Mondays: Workshops, 10am - 12pm PST / 1pm - 3pm EST

    • Tuesdays and Wednesdays: Special events, like AMAs and Speakers, scheduled based on the guest’s calendar, usually running for 1 hour. Usually between 10am - 12pm PST / 1pm - 3pm EST

    • Wednesdays and Thursdays: Your small group will meet for one hour on one of these days. We’ll decide the exact timing based on your group’s preferences.

    • Fridays: We’ll give you some light homework each week, with a goal to ship every Friday. This includes work from Monday’s workshops, reporting on your progress, and a note to the group on what you need help with next.

  • While our workshops are built to attend live, we’ll provide recordings.

If you anticipate missing more than 25% of the workshops, you may want to wait for future dates.

  • For this inaugural summer 2025 cohort, we’re accepting 25 people max. We’re keeping things small so we can prove value to every single person who joins us. Shaina & Harry want to spend 1:1 time with every person, plus, we don’t want to overwhelm our mentors :)

In the future, if we do this again, we’ll open it up to a larger group.

  • View the week over week breakdown above.

Each week builds on the previous one. We start with foundations (your business hypothesis and goals), move to connections (meeting mentors and building pipeline), then tackle pricing, packaging, sustainable growth, and back-office operations.

  • We’re booking people now, but you can follow along on the Team page.

Mentors hold 20 minute 1:1s with you, focused on your biggest challenges. Some share their experience as successful independents, others connect you with companies that need your skills, and others make strategic introductions that open immediate doors to opportunities.

  • We’re booking people now! Check the Team page for updates, but you can expect company leaders and experts that fit with the topics each week.

  • Demo Day is where you'll present your offerings to carefully selected audience members such as fellow successful independent operators, super connectors, and investors actively looking for talent for their portfolios. Unlike typical showcases, it's designed specifically for you to launch yourself into actual work and start relationships that lead to revenue.

  • Short answer: No.

Longer answer: We’re human, and will work with you if something exceptional happens in your schedule or life. We are unlikely to offer refunds for other reasons.

  • Short answer: No.

Longer answer: This is our team’s main KPI, and the whole reason we’ve built Manual Override. While we have no guarantees, we promise to work hard to give you the tools, connections, and personal help to book work — but the ball is ultimately in your court.

  • Short answer: Maybe!

Longer answer: Our KPI is your pipeline built and your revenue booked from our program. If we can make that happen to a satisfying extent, we’ll do this again. We’d host our second cohort in Spring 2026. We’re offering lower pricing for this first cohort to ensure we can deliver a strong ROI.
